There are several different types of room set ups such as classroom style whereby one will set up rows of tables with two chairs per table which should face the front of the room. This set up is ideal for an informal conference type as usually the presenter provides information to the audience with some dialogue. When an audience is required to take notes theatre style works well or even if the presentation is less than two hours, as rows of chairs are placed facing the front of the room and comprise of side and middle aisles, which maximizes the space. There are Brisbane conference venues that are already set up in conference style whereby long tables are clustered in the center of the room forming one solid surface and the chairs are placed around the table. This set up is great for brain storming conferences especially when there is no presenter. This style ensures adequate workspace and good visual and communication line for those attending. Another great set up is the U shape, which is ideal for small groups as the tables are placed end to end to form a U shape and the chair are on the outside of the U. other styles include the Hollow square which provide sufficient workspace for participants. There is also the V shape or chevron that allows for a more closed type of feel and the banquet style, herringbone style and the half moon rounds.
Company executives use such venues to hold conferences or meetings for associates and staff, and the set up can affect how people experience the conference. For instance people sitting at the back may not be able to see or hear the presentation clearly. When setting a venue, analyse the space and then choose a set up that will work best for your presentation, which will ensure your conference is a success.
