Lewis Hamilton not paying attention to Spa incident anymore ? Formula 1 news

McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton has said that he is no more paying attention to the accident happened in the 2012 Belgian Grand Prix and is confidently looking forward to fight for the title.

Hamilton could not score even a single point in the previous race held at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps as he was retired due to his collision with Romain Grosjean of Lotus at turn one during the first lap.

It will be important to note that the crash happened due to the mistake of Grosjean who drifted into the car of the British driver and then hit Fernando Alonso of Ferrari while smacking the backside of Sergio Perez of Sauber. In the end, unfortunately all the four drivers failed to pocket any points and were retired from the race.

Although, the 2008 world champion was very disappointed over the unpleasant occurrence in the preceding race, nonetheless, he has left behind the Spa episode and is focussing to perform well in the Italian GP which is to be held at Autodromo de Monza this weekend.

?Spa was just one of those weekends - but the beauty of these double-header races is that it's already firmly behind me,? Hamilton said. ?And Monza is such a unique and invigorating circuit that it's easy to put my disappointments to one side and just focus on driving as fast as possible this weekend.?

In addition, he expressed that he has always liked racing on the older tracks because they are unique as compared to the new ones which are more or less the same.

?For me, there's something about Formula One's older circuits that's very special; despite each being very different, the newer tracks all seem to have the same character and the same sort of rhythm, but the older circuits are very different,? he said.

Besides, he said that he is making the best of the efforts to come up stronger in the forthcoming race and is hoping to score his third win of the season.

Above and beyond, it will be extremely thrilling to see how the Briton shows up at Monza.?
