(AP) ? Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney says that only he is equipped to help poor and middle-class Americans.

Romney aggressively attacked President Barack Obama's policies at an Atlanta fundraiser.

He's warning that Obama is trying to change the country "in ways we can't imagine." He says the fundamental question in the election is not which candidate cares about poor and middle-class Americans. Instead, he says, the question is which candidate can help them.

Romney says, quote, "I can. He can't."

Romney's comments come two days after an unauthorized video surfaced showing Romney telling donors that nearly half of Americans are dependent upon government and believe they are victims. It's the latest in a string of problems for the Republican candidate seven weeks out from Election Day.
