Absolutely nothing at all surprises us here at the Horror Asylum when it comes to tongue-in-cheek grindhouse action sequel 'Machete Kills'. The oft-controversial, yet all round goddamn modern-day hero, Charlie Sheen (below) has been cast in Robert Rodriguez's sequel as none other than the President of the United States of America. Rob Tweeted the news directly to the fans "I just cast Charlie Sheen in #machetekills as the President of the United States! Who better?", and he has a point! With the amount of hotties signed up to the project is must have been a no-brainer for Sheen.? Jessica Alba ('Sin City'), Michelle Rodriguez ('Resident Evil: Retribution'), Amber Heard ('Drive Angry'), Sofia Vergara and Zoe Saldana ('Avatar', 'Star Trek') are all set to sex up the sequel. Edward James Olmos ('Dexter'), Mel Gibson and Demian Bichir are also on board the follow-up set to star alongside the returning Danny Trejo.
"The new film finds Machete (Trejo) recruited by the U.S. Government for a mission which would be impossible for any mortal man. Machete must battle his way through Mexico to take down a madman cartel leader and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer (Gibson) who has hatched a plan to spread war across the planet with a weapon in space. Machete takes on an army in an effort to dismantle a plan for global anarchy."
