The Lexington County Sheriff?s Department is investigating the theft of copper from a local church.
The report said on January 7, officers responded to The First Baptist Church of Irmo in reference to a larceny.
Upon arrival, deputies met with the custodian who stated that when he came into work at 6:30 a.m. he found two air conditioners dissembled and its copper missing, the report stated.
