Valley Regional Transit on Tuesday will start weekday shuttle service to four College of Western Idaho campuses in Nampa ? the Canyon County Center, The Micron Center for Professional Technical Education, the Aspen Classroom Building and the Academic Building on the Nampa campus site.
The new Route 55 CWI Shuttle is a partnership between College of Western Idaho and Valley Regional Transit. The route began operating Nov. 26, but went on hiatus during the winter semester break.
The route is open to the public. CWI students, faculty and staff are able to ride the shuttle bus for free upon securing a pass from One Stop Student Services. The shuttle will not operate during semester breaks.
?Many of our students attend classes at multiple campus locations,? said CWI President Bert Glandon in a press release. ?Providing transportation between the locations supports our mission to be accessible and VRT was a natural partner in providing reliable and safe means for the CWI community.?
